• Police arrest two after exchange of fire

A Hindi news agency reported that a six-year-old girl was thrown from the roof of a building in the Sikandrabad industrial area of Bulandshahr district.

The police managed to apprehend two suspects after an exchange of gunfire.

According to reports, the suspects were neighbors of the girl, who lived with her parents in the same area.

Authorities indicated that the girl was playing on the building’s roof when the incident occurred and was later found in a plot of land near her home.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival.

The body was sent for a medical autopsy.

The girl’s father filed a complaint at the police station, where authorities formed three teams to track the suspects.

Upon receiving information about their whereabouts, the police moved quickly to arrest them.

Tejveer Singh, police officer in Bulandshahr, said: “When the police team tried to intercept them in the industrial area, the suspects opened fire.”

He added: “In response, the police fired back, and both suspects were hit in the legs. They were immediately taken into custody and transported to the hospital for treatment.”

The police also confiscated two pistols along with ammunition from the suspects during the operation.
