Fans of Nevin El-Qadi in Shock Over Her Passing "Nevin El-Qadi Left Behind a 12-Year-Old Daughter"

The Egyptian media scene remains engulfed in grief following the announcement of the death of journalist Nevin El-Qadi, who passed away after a brief battle with cancer. El-Qadi was admitted to a hospital for comprehensive examinations and tests, and was under medical observation since the discovery of an advanced-stage tumor in September, before her body ultimately succumbed to the disease.

Journalist Sahar Abbas, one of Maspero’s senior anchors, revealed that the late journalist’s mother is in deep shock, having already lost her first daughter years ago to the same illness, followed by the second daughter. Abbas said: "The poor mother lost both of her daughters and is now alone. May God grant her patience; it is a very difficult and severe trial."

Cause of Death and Family Impact

Sahar Abbas explained that Nevin El-Qadi left behind a 12-year-old daughter, saying: "She left her mother and only daughter, and her death has caused a great shock to them both. I hope everyone prays for them to have patience." She added that the death was due to the recently discovered tumor. Despite undergoing a surgery to remove it in September, her body could not endure chemotherapy sessions: "She could not complete even a single session. The first time it was postponed, and the second she could only complete a third. She was very exhausted."
