A Malaysian young man without an arm impressed social media users with his determination to work as a food delivery driver despite the challenges.
Ahmad Nabil Rosli, 26, lost his left arm after a traffic accident in May 2017.
Rosli gained attention after a video spread in November showing him stopped at a traffic checkpoint while riding his motorcycle, where a police officer asked, "Did your hand get injured, brother?" after noticing the absence of his left arm.
Rosli pointed out that the accident caused his motorcycle to catch fire after it veered into the middle of the road, and he sustained severe injuries that put him into a coma, with his heart stopping for half an hour, according to his father.
Despite losing his arm, he considered the accident a second chance at life and resolved to live positively, drawing strength from the support and encouragement of his parents and siblings.
He began working in food delivery several years ago and has shared his daily life on social media since 2021.
He usually completes more than 30 orders daily from morning until night, with some days exceeding 50 orders.
He mentioned that many of his customers were understanding and kind, sending him encouraging messages.
He explained that he no longer uses a prosthetic arm while working due to nerve pain in his shoulder caused by repeated use.
Rosli said, "I hope my story inspires others to face challenges in a positive way."
He noted that he works hard to save money to marry a special person in Singapore, planning to complete the wedding by December, without revealing additional details about his partner.
His story received widespread engagement on social media, where one local radio listener offered to cover his wedding costs after hearing his story, while many users praised his determination, and others advised choosing a less risky job.
