  • Alfi faced illness with a smile and positive energy until the end

Omar El-Fishawy, the son of the late Egyptian actress Somaya Elfi who passed away a week ago, revealed her "final will," in which she stressed that they must "never differ or be apart from her son, the actor Ahmed El-Fishawy."

He also noted in media statements during a program that "what concerned Somaya most was the strength of the relationship between her two children, especially since, if she were to pass, they would have no one left after the departure of their father and her former husband, the actor Farouk El-Fishawy."

He added: "She was always reminding us: let nothing ever come between you, no matter what."

Regarding her final days, Omar confirmed that his mother "was happy and content with God’s will, always smiling, and sought to radiate positive energy despite the worsening of her illness."

Throughout her artistic career, Elfi presented more than 150 works spanning cinema, theater, and television, before withdrawing from the spotlight in 2010 in a voluntary seclusion, surprising the artistic community with the news of her passing due to complications from cancer, according to reports.
