In her first reaction after ending her marriage with media figure Amr Adib, journalist Lamis El Hadidi chose to ignore commenting on the details of her personal crisis or her divorce, preferring instead to focus on sports, as she expressed her full support for the Egyptian national team following their victory over South Africa in the second round of the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations currently held in Morocco.

Lamis posted on her official "X" account a tweet praising the team’s performance, saying: "Champions, by God, they held on to the 55th-minute victory even while missing one player .. El Shenawy was a hero in his best form, and Salah and the team fought till the last breath. Keep going, guys, we are behind you."

Media personality Amr Adib had ended his marriage with Lamis El Hadidi after a relationship that lasted more than 25 years, during which they formed one of the most famous media couples in Egypt and the Arab world, both professionally and personally.

The announcement of the divorce came after weeks of circulating rumors about tension in their relationship, without either of them commenting at the time, as both parties maintained their usual policy of silence and kept their private life away from the spotlight.
