Massive Bus Fire After Collision with Truc A truck coming from the opposite direction crossed the divider between the lanes

A video documented a tragic disaster on Thursday morning, where more than 10 people were killed and others injured after a massive fire broke out in a passenger bus following a collision with a truck on a highway in Karnataka state, southwest India, according to local reports.

Indian authorities stated that the accident occurred around 2 a.m. on a highway near the village of Gorlathu in Chitradurga district, during the bus’s journey from Bengaluru to Shimoga, carrying more than 30 passengers, including the driver and ticket collector.

Truck Crossed the Divider Preliminary investigations showed that a truck coming from the opposite direction crossed the divider between the lanes and collided directly with the bus, causing it to ignite completely within minutes, which initially hampered rescue efforts.

The injured were transferred to multiple hospitals for treatment, while emergency and ambulance teams mobilized to carry out rescue and medical assistance operations.

In a related context, the police announced a full investigation to determine the causes of the accident, including vehicle speeds, road conditions, and reviewing existing safety procedures.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his condolences to the victims’ families, wished a speedy recovery for the injured, and confirmed that financial compensation would be provided to the affected families.
