OpenAI has announced the rollout of new options that enable users to control the style and manner of communication of the ChatGPT chatbot, as part of updates aimed at enhancing and broadening the user experience.

The company clarified that the new settings, called “Customizations”, allow users to adjust the tone of responses in terms of warmth and enthusiasm, in addition to controlling formatting preferences such as headings, lists, and the use of emojis, with the ability to reduce or increase these elements according to preference.

These options also allow selecting a primary interaction mode, including the “Focused” mode, which emphasizes brief and direct responses.

OpenAI confirmed that these settings only affect the style and tone of responses and do not change ChatGPT’s capabilities or core functions.

It also noted that the new features extend the existing Custom Instructions option available within the same settings window.
