  • Ghada Abdel Razek will not participate in the series "Aalya"
  • The decision comes after a successful television season

The Egyptian actress Ghada Abdel Razek apologized for not taking part in the series "Aalya," which was scheduled to air in Ramadan 2026.

The project was set to bring her together with writer Ayman Salama and director Ahmed Hassan, and it belonged to the social drama genre with a suspenseful touch, before she decided to withdraw.

This decision follows the success she achieved in last Ramadan’s season through the series "Shabab Emra’a," written and scripted by Mohamed Suleiman Abdel Malik and directed by Ahmed Hassan, where she played the role of "Shafa’at," the domineering merchant who exploits a simple rural young man.

Her recent film "Ahmed & Ahmed", starring Ahmed El Sakka and Ahmed Fahmy, follows a man returning to Egypt to marry, whose life is upended when his uncle suffers a mysterious accident revealing shocking secrets.
