Ahmad Al-Ahmad Tops Social Media and News Platforms Ahmad Al-Ahmad: "Do I deserve this?"

Social media platforms were abuzz with the story of Australian of Syrian origin, Ahmad Al-Ahmad, after he bravely confronted an armed attack in Bondi, Australia, managing to disarm one of the attackers and save several people during the incident.

In global recognition of his courage, Ahmad was presented with a check worth 2.5 million Australian dollars (approximately 1.65 million USD), collected through donations from around 43,000 people worldwide.

The check was handed over by well-known Instagram content creator Zachery Derenjovski, who documented the moment in a widely shared video across social media platforms.

The video showed Ahmad Al-Ahmad lying in a hospital bed with a medical cast on his left hand after being shot several times in the shoulder while confronting the attack that occurred during a Jewish Hanukkah celebration.

Humbly, Ahmad said upon receiving the check: "Do I deserve this?" adding, "When I save people, I do it from my heart." His bravery and heroic act were widely praised by local and international followers, who described his intervention as a rare example of courage and selfless sacrifice in protecting others.
