Death caused by drug intoxication and dehydration
A 52-year-old woman was found dead inside a safe in a Baltimore home, having died from drug intoxication and dehydration, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Baltimore police discovered Dawn White inside a four-foot-tall safe in her home last April.
Until now however, the exact cause of death was unknown.
Brianna White said the family had filed a missing person report for her aunt, prompting police to follow up with a welfare check.
Later, family members found her body. Brianna expressed concern that domestic violence may have played a role in the incident.
“Her going through domestic violence and then this happening… it doesn’t seem random,” she said.
Baltimore police confirmed that two domestic disputes had been reported at the home in March.
The family questioned how White died and how she ended up inside the safe.
Friends and family described her as a generous and cheerful person.
“She would do anything for everyone,” Brianna said.
Her close friend Cassidy Haddaway added, “She was the center of attention wherever she went, no matter the room, she was present.”
