  • Google expands autofill capabilities in Chrome
  • Includes various data such as email and cards

Google announced new updates to the autofill feature in the Chrome browser, which can now automatically fill in personal data when users sign in to their Google account.

Last month, the company introduced an option allowing the browser to fill in passport and driver’s license details, in addition to vehicle information such as license plate numbers or the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), as part of the enhanced autofill experience.

Google has expanded the autofill feature to include names and email addresses on registration and login pages, as well as website forms, while ensuring that data is pulled securely.

The browser can also fill in home and work addresses saved in the user’s account, with this feature available to Chrome users on desktop, Android and iOS.

Google Wallet has been integrated with Chrome, allowing the wallet to autofill stored card numbers, travel details, and vehicle information.

Regarding travel, Google Flights is now available in more countries, and Chrome on Android now displays autofill suggestions in two lines instead of one, making it easier to select the correct data.

Google notes that Chrome can now recognize address fields worldwide and fill them accurately.

It is worth noting that the enhanced autofill feature is disabled by default and can be enabled from Chrome’s settings.
