Five people died and 13 others were injured as a result of a fire that broke out on Tuesday evening at the "Al-Khawagat" market in the city of Mansoura, northern Egypt.
According to Egyptian media, the fire broke out inside a four-story clothing warehouse, and the flames spread quickly due to the presence of flammable materials, causing panic and fear.
The Governor of Dakahlia stated that authorities took urgent measures to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring buildings, including cutting off the electricity and gas services as a precautionary measure.
He also pointed out that the relevant authorities imposed a security cordon around the area to facilitate the firefighting operation, while Egyptian authorities continue investigations to determine the cause of the fire.
