Egyptian actor Ahmed Fahmy denied the recent rumors linking him romantically with his colleague, actress Asmaa Galal, following their appearances together at several events, the most recent being her birthday celebration attended by a number of prominent artists.

Fahmy confirmed on a television program: "I love Asmaa Galal very much on a personal level because she is a kind, respectful, and straightforward person, as we say in our local dialect, but there is no truth to the claims about a love story between us. If there were, we would have told people… am I tall?"

His response to the "Here Zahr" controversy

He also responded to circulating rumors that he deliberately tried to provoke his ex-wife, actress Hana El Zahed, by attending the play "Memo" starring Ahmed Helmy, in which Asmaa Galal took over Hana El Zahed’s role after her apology, saying: "And why did you ignore my relationship with Ahmed Helmy? Everyone knows the strong friendship I have with him for years, especially since I wrote the script for his film 'Keda Reda'. It is only natural that I attend my friend’s play and support my friend Asmaa Galal as well."

At the end of his interview, Fahmy revealed a new film project that will bring him together with Asmaa Galal, noting that the project is still in the preparation stage and that filming is scheduled to begin later this month, opening a new artistic chapter that reunites the duo in front of the audience.
