- 104 participants form giant star pattern in the sky
- Achievement officially recognized as largest group parachute formation in history
104 skydivers from 20 countries set a new world record with a stunning group formation in the sky over Florida, creating a star-shaped pattern under open parachutes in perfect synchronization.
The jump took place over Lake Wales and has been officially recognized as the largest-ever group parachute formation, surpassing the previous 2007 record of 100 skydivers.
A video shared on Instagram showed the skydivers linking their colorful parachutes to form the giant star before breaking apart in sequence.
The achievement required precise planning, perfect timing, and advanced skill.
The formation began with 36 expert participants using "Valkyrie" parachutes to create a stable core, with the rest joining one by one from multiple aircraft to expand the pattern.
Participants ranged in age from young adults to a 76-year-old veteran.
