The case surrounding the tragic death of Shaimaa Gamal has resurfaced in the media spotlight, especially with the airing of the series Ward w Shokolata (Roses and Chocolate), inspired by events similar to the shocking incident that captured public attention years ago.
Amid the renewed controversy, Shaimaa’s mother made a provocative claim, attributing it to actress Aiten Amer, accusing her of being involved with her husband, Ayman Haggag, before the crime that ended Shaimaa’s life. She referred to him as "the Australian calf," alleging he had intended to marry Aiten before meeting Shaimaa.
Aiten Amer quickly addressed these allegations in a video posted on her official Facebook page, stating: "A lot of things are being said these days, and the truth is, all of this is wrong… simply because I have nothing to do with calf trading."
With this sarcastic remark, Aiten put an end to the speculation about any connection to Ayman Haggag without delving into the details of the case. She also took the opportunity to speak about her new artistic project, saying: "But I might be part of it this Ramadan… stay tuned for Kolhom Bihibbu Mody."
The upcoming series features Yasser Galal in a social comedy role, with Aiten starring alongside him and a star-studded cast including Mervat Amin, Huda El Atreby, Mostafa Abu Sarea, Gory Bakr, Salwa Osman, Mohsen Mansour, and Irina Yousry, Miss Egypt 2025. The show is written by Ayman Salama and directed by Ahmed Shafik.
