Three people were killed and seven others sustained varying degrees of injuries in a tragic traffic accident on Tuesday in northern Baghdad, the capital of Iraq.

The incident occurred at the entrance of the “Ali Hamad” area in the “Saba Al-Bor” neighborhood, as a result of a collision between two vehicles caused by excessive speed and lack of attention, immediately killing three and injuring seven others, according to Iraqi security sources.

Emergency Response

Sources added that rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately, transporting the injured to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment, while the victims’ bodies were transferred to the forensic department for necessary investigations.

Iraqi authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident to determine responsibilities and prevent the recurrence of such tragedies.
