Driver Kills Friend in Brutal Attack Perpetrator Splits Friend’s Head Before Fleeing Suspect Turns Himself In to Authorities

A shocking murder rattled Egypt’s Sharqia Governorate, as a 35-year-old driver fatally attacked his 32-year-old friend with multiple stab wounds before splitting his head, in a crime that left the local community in disbelief, according to Egyptian media reports.

Investigations revealed that recurring disputes between the perpetrator and the victim had escalated over time, as the victim allegedly provoked and argued with his friend repeatedly, prompting the killer to plan a deadly act of revenge.

A security source explained that the suspect tracked the victim after he left work, taking advantage of his knowledge of the victim’s daily movements due to their previous close relationship. He ambushed the victim with a knife, fatally stabbing him, then split his head before fleeing the scene, exploiting the absence of bystanders at the time of the crime.

Suspect Surrenders

In a swift development, police teams launched multiple operations to track down the suspect. However, he voluntarily surrendered to the police station before officers could reach his hiding place, only hours after committing the shocking crime, allowing the Public Prosecution to begin formal legal investigations.

During questioning, the suspect admitted that his actions were purely revenge-driven, citing repeated provocations by the victim. Legal authorities are handling all necessary procedures to investigate the incident thoroughly and address all related circumstances.
