Kuwaiti media personality Fajr Al-Saeed continues to face complex health challenges as she prepares for a third surgery in a series of medical interventions aimed at combating a serious bacterium that infected her stomach and spread widely throughout her body.

In a video she posted on her Instagram account, Al-Saeed expressed her shock at the decision of the German hospital where she is receiving treatment, which prohibits her from filming any visual content inside treatment rooms or corridors, whether regarding her health condition or the medical staff.

She explained that she was not previously aware of Germany’s strict laws regarding filming inside healthcare facilities.

She also noted that she appears alone in the clips she shares with her audience because the hospital does not allow any medical personnel to appear without official permission, emphasizing that the only person shown with her was the professor overseeing her treatment, and only after obtaining his prior consent.

"I have an audience that has the right to know the updates on my condition"

During her talk, Al-Saeed criticized these restrictions, saying: "Why this fear of social media? I am talking about myself and my story… even my story, you refuse to let me tell it? Shut down social media if you want, but I have an audience that has the right to know the developments in my condition."

The Kuwaiti journalist is scheduled to undergo a precise surgery on Thursday, November 20, marking the third procedure in her treatment plan in Germany, after having undergone two surgeries in recent weeks in an attempt to stop the spread of the bacterium.

Al-Saeed had previously revealed that the bacterium had not disappeared after the second surgery, as doctors discovered it persisting in her body. This prompted them to remove part of the mesh that had been placed to protect the intestines. The medical team also cleaned the infected area, but the prolonged duration of the illness and the lack of prompt medical care at the onset of the crisis contributed to the worsening of the infection, necessitating multiple surgeries.
