Countdown Begins for Fadl Shaker to Appear Before the Lebanese Military Court

Fadl Shaker Previously Underwent Preliminary Interrogation Before Beirut Criminal Court Head Charges Include Affiliation with an Armed Group, Possession of Unlicensed Weapons, and More
The Lebanese Military Court announced that next Tuesday, November 25, will mark the first session of the trial of artist Fadl Shaker, to consider four lawsuits filed against him.
The Lebanese News Agency reported that the charges include affiliation with an armed group, possession of unlicensed weapons, undermining state authority, and financing Sheikh Ahmed Al-Asir’s group.
Shaker had previously undergone a preliminary interrogation session before the head of the Criminal Court in Beirut, Judge Bilal Al-Danaoui, at the "Palace of Justice." The session was limited to formal procedures, including routine questions about the lawyer representing him and any requests or threats before the trial, after which Shaker left the court without any additional procedures.
This measure comes within the context of a case filed by the family of a civilian who died from a gunshot during previous events, in which both Fadl Shaker and Sheikh Ahmed Al-Asir are accused. The case is still under investigation, and no final judgment has been issued yet.
