A Malaysian family called the Civil Defense after discovering a massive snake hiding in their bathroom in Kedah

Footage showed the Civil Defense team inspecting the bathroom with long hooks before a massive snake appeared, dangling its long, thick tail near the floor.

Rescuers initially backed away in fear but approached once the snake tried to retreat. For nearly 30 seconds, the team used hooks and wire loops to coax the snake onto the floor.

Despite resisting at first, the snake finally gave in and fell with a heavy thud.

According to local reports, the snake weighed over 120 pounds (around 54.4 kg) and was relocated to a wilderness area away from homes.

The report noted that the first person to spot the snake was a 15-year-old girl, who alerted her mother to a hole in the bathroom ceiling.

The mother initially thought the object in the hole was a piece of cloth.

She said: "I saw a batik cloth inside the broken ceiling. I wondered how a cloth could be up there. My children then zoomed in with a phone camera, and we discovered the snake."

She added that she was shocked to learn such a large reptile had been hiding above her toilet.
