Authorities in Singapore charged a man with causing a public nuisance after he jumped over a barrier and grabbed singer and actress Ariana Grande during the premiere of Wicked: For Good in the city

A widely shared video shows the Australian man, Johnson Wen, pushing past photographers and heading toward Grande as the cast walked down the yellow carpet surrounded by fans

Co-star Cynthia Erivo can be seen trying to pull Grande away from the attacker

The 26-year-old had posted on Instagram Thursday that he was "free after being arrested," but a Singapore court officially charged him on Friday

Local reports say Wen, who was unrepresented, intends to plead guilty

This was not Wen’s first time disrupting concerts or events; he describes himself on Instagram as the "most hated troll." His account includes clips of him interrupting other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry’s concert in Sydney in June and at a The Chainsmokers concert last December

If convicted, he could face a fine of up to 2000 Singapore dollars (1540 USD)
