Famous singer fends off intruder who broke into her home

South Korean actress and singer Nana managed to fend off an intruder who attempted to break into her home, with the help of her mother, local media reported

According to reports, a man in his 30s broke into Nana's house in Guri, armed and threatening the two women

Despite the danger, 34-year-old Nana and her mother managed to restrain the intruder until authorities arrived, her agency told South Korean media

The report added that Nana’s mother lost consciousness during the incident, and both women required medical care

A local detective said the intruder had attempted to steal valuable property and was detained on charges of aggravated robbery

The suspect reportedly threatened both women and demanded money after breaking in

Nana and her mother called the police after restraining the man, who was also taken to a hospital for treatment

Nana rose to fame in 2009 with the popular K-pop girl group After School, which is no longer active, but she has gained prominence over the past decade as an actress

She has appeared in several TV series, including Kill It and Justice, both crime dramas first aired in 2019

Nana released her first solo album in September
