Giant shark throws Australian surfer into the air – video

A video clip circulated widely on social media capturing a terrifying moment for an Australian surfer when a giant shark approached him while riding the waves at Breville Beach in Western Australia. Despite the violent encounter, the surfer managed to survive without any injuries.
Andy McDonald, 61, was using a hydrofoil surfboard when the shark struck him violently. Surveillance cameras captured the moment of impact, which Andy described as being like "a freight train throwing me into the air."
Speaking to the media, McDonald said, "Suddenly, I felt like I was hit by a freight train, then launched into the air… the shark was all around me; it felt like I was on top of it."
Escape from Death
Despite the fierce attack, McDonald emerged from the water unharmed, while his board took a severe bite from the shark, destroying part of it entirely. His friend, Neil Mattinson, said, "When we reached the shore, the danger of the situation started affecting Andy, but he handled it remarkably."
The type of shark has not yet been identified, but experts plan to extract DNA from the board to determine the species. Warnings about sharks in the area have been issued, although the beach remains open.
Despite the shocking incident, McDonald returned to his passion, surfing the waves the very next day, a gesture that earned widespread admiration online.
