Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Saudi club Al-Nassr, stated that he now feels fully integrated into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, considering himself part of the Saudi community in every sense of the word.

Ronaldo made these remarks in a recorded message delivered at the global “Tourize” Forum, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Tourism. He described his experience in Saudi Arabia as “unique and exceptional,” emphasizing that he feels as if he is one of the Saudi people.

Speaking from the Portuguese national team’s training camp ahead of the 2030 World Cup qualifiers, Ronaldo explained that his decision to join the Saudi League three years ago was driven by his belief in the ambitious sports project and the football renaissance underway in the Kingdom. He affirmed that the Saudi League is evolving rapidly, thanks to the passion and love for football among its fans.

Ronaldo also praised Saudi Arabia’s growth in the tourism sector, noting that tourism is very important to him and expressing pride in being part of this development. He highlighted his admiration for the beauty of the Red Sea, noting that being there gives him a sense of peace and privacy.

“My Heart Is with Saudi Arabia”

The Portuguese star also addressed Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the 2034 World Cup, saying: “My heart is with Saudi Arabia for this event, even though I am Portuguese… belonging to this Kingdom has become part of my life.” He added: “You can rely on me to support football, help develop it, and inspire younger generations to love this beautiful game.”

Ronaldo also spoke about his family, stressing his desire to provide his children with a normal life, free from the pressures of fame, and emphasized that true success comes from inspiration, perseverance, and hard work, not just celebrity. He concluded with an inspiring message: “My life has not been easy, but the most important thing is for people to remember me as an inspiring, persistent, and professional person who always strives to achieve great things.”
