Ismail El-Leithy Saw His Late Son in a Dream Before the Fatal Accident El-Leithy contacted his mother and told her about his dream before the crash

Just hours before the accident that claimed his life, Egyptian folk singer Ismail El-Leithy had a phone call with his mother filled with worry and longing. He told her that he had seen a dream the night before, in which he saw his late son, Zaza, holding him tightly— as if the spirit had reached out from absence to touch his heart, according to media reports.

El-Leithy’s son had passed away in September 2024, after falling from the tenth floor at his grandmother’s house, in a tragic incident that caused widespread shock among artistic and local communities at the time.

A Horrific Crash

Less than an hour after speaking with his mother, El-Leithy was involved in a devastating road accident while returning from performing at a wedding party. He was traveling with several members of his musical band. The accident resulted in the death of three people at the scene, while seven others were injured.

El-Leithy sustained critical injuries and fell into a coma due to a severe head trauma and multiple fractures across his body. After spending several days in intensive care fighting for his life, his death was announced on Monday.

Ismail El-Leithy left this world still carrying the wound of losing his son— and it was as if the dream he saw was a silent farewell that reunited father and son for a brief moment between life and death.
