The South Korean under-16 girls volleyball team was crowned asian champions after the tournament concluded on Saturday in the Jordanian capital, Amman, which hosted the event.

Princess Aya bint Faisal, president of the Jordanian Volleyball Federation, presented the trophy and gold medals to the victorious South Korean team.

South Korea claimed the Asian title following a marathon and exciting final against Chinese Taipei.

The match ended with South Korea narrowly winning three sets to two (3-2), with both teams displaying high technical and physical performance at Prince Hamzah Hall in Hussein Youth City.
