The Jordanian U-20 National Team Begins Its Training Camp in Turkey

Two Crucial Friendlies Against Russia Ahead of Upcoming Challenges
The Jordan U-20 national team began its overseas training camp today, Saturday, in Antalya, Turkey, which will continue until November 16.
This camp is part of a comprehensive plan set by the Jordan Football Association to enhance the readiness of the "Young Nashama" ahead of their participation in upcoming competitions for this age group.
The team held its first training session on Saturday afternoon at the Hani Center Stadium under the guidance of head coach Islam Dhiabat.
All called-up players attended the session, where the coaching staff focused initially on light physical exercises to loosen muscles after the journey, followed by drills emphasizing fundamental technical and tactical aspects, aiming to achieve maximum cohesion among players and implement the planned strategies.
Jordan U-20 Squad for the Turkish Camp
The 23-player squad attending the Turkish camp features some of Jordan’s brightest young talents, representing the future of the country’s football. The players are:
Mohammad Altaifeh, Ahmad Al-Falouji, Mohammad Al-Shaloul, Ismail Freihat, Omar Al-Khatib, Faisal Al-Louzi, Moamen Oudat, Ali Al-Awawi, Hussein Al-Dhiabat, Abdul Karim Al-Neezan, Ahmad Abu Koush, Mohammad Al-Bitar, Adeeb Ramadan, Mahmoud Al-Tamizi, Mohammad Abu Al-Ghanem, Ali Al-Naemi, Eyad Al-Amawi, Saad Al-Salamat, Mohammad Asfour, Yasser Al-Hambooz, Saif Taha, Mohannad Mustafa, and Nasser Al-Dajani.
The coaching staff places great emphasis on this gathering to assess players’ performances under competitive conditions, especially as the camp includes important international friendly matches.
Two Upcoming Friendlies Against Russia
During the Turkish camp, the national team will play two friendly matches against the Russia U-20 national team. These games serve as a real test of the team’s progress and tactical execution against an opponent with a strong footballing background.
- First Friendly: Jordan vs. Russia, Thursday, November 13, at 3:30 PM.
- Second Friendly: Jordan vs. Russia, Saturday, November 15, at 1:00 PM.
These friendlies aim to boost the players’ international exposure and prepare them for the competitive pressures of upcoming official tournaments, especially since national teams at this age level are a key feeder for the senior national team in the coming years.
