Meghan Markle, the former Duchess of Sussex and wife of British Prince Harry, is set to return to the screen with a cameo in the comedy film Close Personal Friends

Markle and her husband stepped back from their royal duties and titles in 2020, choosing to split their time between Santa Barbara, California, and the United Kingdom to focus on their private projects away from royal life
The film stars Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, Brie Larson, and Henry Golding, and is currently being shot in Los Angeles
The cast also includes other stars such as Melissa Villaseñor, Natasia Demetriou, Anna Konkle, Patti Harrison, Jack Shalloo, and Dustin Demri-Burns
The story revolves around an ordinary couple who meet celebrities during a trip to Santa Barbara, and their new friendship quickly turns into a series of awkward and boundary-crossing situations
Jason Orley is directing the film from a screenplay written by Isaac Aptaker, based on a story he developed in collaboration with Orley
Markle is best known for her role in the TV series Suits, which ran for seven seasons, and she appeared in films like Horrible Bosses and Remember Me before marrying Prince Harry in 2018
