Egyptian actress Yasmine Abdel Aziz has announced that Sherine Reda will join the cast of her upcoming Ramadan series “We Forget What Was”, marking the first time the two stars will appear together on screen. The announcement has heightened anticipation for the series, especially with a lineup of prominent actors and its scheduled release during Ramadan 2026.

Yasmine shared the news via Instagram and Facebook Stories, expressing her excitement about collaborating with Sherine Reda for the first time in a dramatic project.

The series also stars Karim Fahmy, alongside other actors whose participation will be revealed gradually. The show is written by Amr Mahmoud Yassin, directed by Mohamed Al-Khabiry, and produced by Media Life under Mohamed Abdel Wahab and Tarek Fahmy.

Yasmine Abdel Aziz sparks curiosity about the series’ lead

In a playful move, Yasmine posted a photo of Karim Fahmy on Facebook with a black strip over his eyes, asking fans to guess who the lead actor of her new Ramadan series might be. This came amid rumors that Fahmy had declined to participate. She captioned the post: "Guess who the lead of the Ramadan series… ‘We Forget What Was’ is???"

Fans responded enthusiastically, confirming Karim Fahmy’s official participation. This marks his third collaboration with Yasmine, following “Why Do We Love Again?” (2020) and “We Met a Lover” (last Ramadan).

Karim Fahmy also reshared the photo on his Facebook account with a humorous caption: "I apologize for not apologizing about ‘We Forget What Was’… May God make it a success for us, my friend."

This confirmed his role alongside Yasmine Abdel Aziz in the highly anticipated series.
