$980… Dubai café serves the world’s most expensive cup of coffee

- A café in Dubai has introduced a rare cup of coffee priced at nearly $980 per serving
- The luxurious beverage offers floral and fruity flavors, while some residents say the high price fits Dubai’s extravagant lifestyle
One of Dubai’s cafés has started serving the world’s most expensive coffee, made from premium Panamanian beans that sell at a steep cost, bringing the price per cup to around 3,600 dirhams (approximately $980)
Co-founder Serkan Sagsoz said: The wait is finally over, the highest-rated and most renowned coffee in the world has arrived at Julith.
He added: We felt Dubai was the perfect place for our investment
Sagsoz described the taste of the coffee as a unique experience combining floral and fruity notes reminiscent of tea. “There are white floral touches like jasmine, citrus flavors like orange and bergamot, with hints of apricot and peach. It’s like honey, delicate and sweet,” he explained
Last month, Dubai recorded a Guinness World Record for the most expensive cup of coffee when another café offered a cup for 2,500 dirhams
Although the new record surprised some, others considered it unsurprising in a city known for its luxurious lifestyle
