The countdown has begun to implement the Ministry of Education’s decision regarding new school hours, which will officially take effect on the morning of Sunday, November 2, 2025.

The decision has been widely anticipated by parents, who welcomed it, emphasizing that it helps ensure the safety of their children amid cold and unpredictable weather.

In an official circular, the ministry stated that the morning assembly in single-shift schools will start at 8:15 AM, with the first lesson beginning at 8:30 and lasting 45 minutes. As for double-shift schools, the morning shift assembly will begin at 8:15 AM, with the first lesson starting at 8:30 AM, while the afternoon shift assembly will start at 12:50 PM, with the first lesson beginning at 1:00 PM.

The ministry also clarified that the duration of each lesson in both shifts will be only 35 minutes, with the five-minute break canceled, and confirmed that schools will open their doors to students starting at 7:45 AM.

This decision is part of the ministry’s plan to organize the educational process and provide a safe and suitable learning environment, especially during the winter season. Parents considered this step “long-awaited and important,” noting its positive impact in reducing students’ discomfort during early morning hours and protecting them from cold weather in some areas.
