The site WABetaInfo, specialized in tracking beta versions of WhatsApp, revealed an upcoming update for iPhone that allows managing storage and backup options for each chat individually

This feature differs from the previous system, where backup and storage settings were applied uniformly to all chats through the app’s settings menu

The new update allows enabling cloud backup for a specific chat without affecting others, or excluding a chat from cloud storage, in addition to quickly checking the data size stored for each chat, providing better control over storage space

Although the basic storage options remain unchanged, access has become easier, with the ability to sort chats and files by size to identify the chats consuming the most space

The report indicated that the feature appeared in beta versions on iOS, meaning it will be available first to iPhone users before reaching Android users later
