Ministry of Culture" announces the names of the finalists for the 2025 Jordanian Song Festival"

The first prize of the festival amounts to 6,000 Jordanian dinars, while the second prize is valued at 4,000 dinars
The festival fosters a spirit of healthy competition among Jordanian singers, composers, and songwriters
The Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with the Jordanian Artists’ Association, is launching the 2025 Jordanian Song Festival on November 27, 2025, aiming to support musical creativity, highlight young artistic talents, and strengthen the presence of the Jordanian song in the cultural and artistic scene.
According to a press release by the Ministry, ten participants have qualified to compete for the festival’s prizes:
Ghalia Al-Saqar "Dandan Ma’ei", Asim Al-Khalayleh "Amman", Waseem Al-Asal "Sayiq ‘Alayk Allah", Osama Hamza "Beit Bil Beit", Anas Shaloul "I Woke Up Amman", Anas Al-Khalayleh "Ya Mowtini", Hatem Al-Naimat "Shumou’ Al-Amal", Aya Al-Hadidi "Risalatuna", Lien Shanaq "Narcissi", and Mohannad Halh.
Festival Prizes
The participants will compete for the following prizes: the first prize of 6,000 dinars, the second prize of 4,000 dinars, and the third prize of 2,000 dinars.
Through the festival, the Ministry seeks to invigorate Jordanian and Arab singing within a systematic scientific framework aligned with national objectives. It also aims to draw inspiration from Jordanian and Arab cultural heritage, utilize popular traditions, recreate contemporary Jordanian and Arab songs suitable for audience preferences, and encourage promising talents.
Fostering Competitive Spirit
The festival also promotes constructive competition among singers, composers, and Jordanian songwriters, strengthens connections between artists and specialized institutions, and fosters collaboration with critics and music researchers. It enriches the Jordanian music scene, provides new opportunities for talented individuals, spreads a culture of joy in Jordanian society, and enhances aesthetic appreciation.
The festival’s supreme committee, chaired by the Ministry’s Secretary-General Dr. Nidal Al-Ahmad, includes: Artists’ Association President and director Mohammad Youssef Al-Abadi, artist Dorgham Bshnaq, Dr. Emil Haddad, Dr. Hanan Al-Sayouf, artist Hussein Dghimat (Festival Director), and Sumaya Awad as the rapporteur.
