after a massive anaconda, measuring about five meters in length, was found near the main swimming pool, where dozens of tourists were swimming.

A specialized rescue team intervened to safely remove the giant reptile from the resort without causing it any harm, in what was described as a delicate and complex operation, according to Whats The Jam.

Incident Details

The incident occurred last Sunday at Rio Quente Resort, located south of the capital, Brasília. The resort is a popular getaway in the savanna region of Goiás state.

Firefighters discovered the snake hiding in a narrow gap within concrete steps leading from the main pool to the restaurant area, prompting them to immediately evacuate the area to ensure the safety of the tourists.

Complex Rescue Operation with Special Equipment

The tight space made it difficult for the firefighters to extract the anaconda, forcing the team to use a heavy hammer to widen the concrete gap. Afterwards, they managed to pull the snake out using a hook and stick in a demanding operation that required collective effort between the firefighters and three civilian volunteers to move the massive reptile away from the crowded area.

Reports confirmed that the anaconda was unharmed during the rescue operation and was later safely released into the wild.

Anacondas are semi-aquatic snakes that inhabit tropical areas of South America. Adult males can weigh between 80-100 kilograms, while females are much larger, potentially reaching up to 200 kilograms when pregnant.
