Emmanatienza Gains Widespread Fame on Social Media Emmanatienza’s Father: “She Brought So Much Joy and Love into Our Lives”
Authorities in Los Angeles have announced the death of 19-year-old Filipino social media star Emmanatienza on October 22, after she reportedly took her own life at her home, according to the county coroner’s office.
Emmanatienza, also known as Emmanuel Atienza, had recently moved to the United States to pursue her dream of becoming a prominent influencer. She gained widespread fame on social media for her honesty and courage in discussing mental health, personal challenges, and bullying.
“She Brought So Much Joy”
Her father, the well-known Filipino meteorologist and media personality Kim Atienza, shared the heartbreaking news in an emotional post, while her mother, Feliciana, expressed her grief, saying: “Emmanatienza brought so much joy and love into our lives, and we will always hold on to her memory filled with compassion and courage.”
Since the age of twelve, Emmanatienza had struggled with bipolar disorder and suicidal thoughts, describing her condition previously as “resistant to treatment,” yet she maintained hope of overcoming her challenges with the approach of 2025.
On social media, Emmanatienza amassed over a million followers on TikTok, receiving nearly 50 million likes, and had more than 218,000 followers on Instagram. She was also known for her bold discussions on social and political issues, despite criticism she faced in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, the Filipino artist center “Sparkle GMA” mourned her passing with touching words, affirming that she would remain “a beloved member of the artistic family.”
