The Jordanian poet and media personality Najah Al-Masa’id surprised her audience with her latest statements regarding the case that captured public attention just days ago, involving the theft of a large sum of money estimated at five million UAE dirhams.

Al-Masa’id expressed deep regret after posting a video in which she spoke about the incident, confirming that she deleted it less than an hour after uploading it on her Snapchat account, but was surprised by its wide circulation.

“By God, I Truly Regretted It”

She said: “The first video I posted about the incident, I left it up for an hour before deleting it, and by God, I truly regretted it. But it spread like wildfire, so the next day I had to respond, and on the third day I had to comment.”

She added: “No matter how much they hurt me, may God bless them and conceal their flaws. But I have a heartfelt request: please let the burden not be doubled and the injured not multiplied. May it not harm you or your children. But one cannot understand the feeling unless they are in the situation—the person outside cannot know what it’s like to be in it.”

“I Am Blessed Beyond Measure”

Najah Al-Masa’id reassured her audience about her health and mental state following the public uproar over her case, confirming she is well after recovering part of the stolen money.

She said on her Instagram Story: “I am fine, thank God. As long as I and my children are well, I am surrounded by blessings.”

The crisis dates back to October 19, when Najah Al-Masa’id announced that five million UAE dirhams had been stolen from her home in Jordan, noting that the perpetrator was someone close to her.

Within 48 hours, the Jordanian Public Security Directorate announced the arrest of the accused and the recovery of 1.6 million dirhams from the stolen amount, while investigations continue to recover the remainder.
