Al-Ramtha Leads Despite the Stumble… Al-Wehdat Absent from the Round

The 9th week of the 2025/2026 Jordanian Pro League witnessed intense action and shifts in the balance of power across different parts of the standings.
Despite drawing their match, Al-Ramtha managed to maintain their lead by one point over their closest rivals, while traditional rival Al-Faisaly secured an exciting victory after a fluctuating game, keeping the title race intense.
Al-Ramtha Holds Top Spot Despite Draw with Al-Salt All eyes were on Al-Hassan Stadium in Irbid, which hosted the northern showdown between league leaders Al-Ramtha and visiting Al-Salt.
Al-Salt shocked the home side by taking an early lead through Endurance Ebidiperi in the 12th minute, putting Al-Ramtha under heavy pressure.
Al-Ramtha’s persistent efforts to equalize continued throughout the first half and a large part of the second, until Kwabina Darko scored the equalizer in the 69th minute, ending the match 1-1.
Although the draw cost Al-Ramtha two crucial points in the title race, it was enough to keep them atop the standings with 23 points.
Al-Jazeera and Shabab Al-Ordon… A Goalless Classic In another match, Al-Jazeera and Shabab Al-Ordon played to a 0-0 draw.
Both teams failed to convert their chances into goals, splitting the points. Al-Jazeera moved to 11 points, while Shabab Al-Ordon reached 8 points, still needing more wins to escape the relegation zone.
Al-Faisaly Turns the Tables and Continues the Chase The most thrilling scenario of the week occurred in the Al-Faisaly vs. Al-Ahli match.
Al-Faisaly, eager to capitalize on any Al-Ramtha slip-up, started strong and scored early through Khaled Zakaria in the 8th minute.
In the second half, “The Leader” extended their advantage with Mohammed Al-Hallaq scoring in the 48th minute, seemingly securing a comfortable victory.
However, Al-Ahli stunned everyone with a quick comeback, as Abdullah Al-Shu’aybat reduced the deficit in the 79th minute, followed by Omar Khader equalizing in the 82nd minute.
Just when the match seemed headed for a disappointing draw for Al-Faisaly, defender Hadi Al-Hourani scored the decisive winner in the 87th minute, ending the game 3-2 in favor of Al-Faisaly.
This win brought Al-Faisaly to 22 points, maintaining second place just one point behind Al-Ramtha, proving they will not give up the race easily.
Al-Hussein Irbid Dominates to Strengthen Third Place In a match showcasing attacking prowess, Al-Hussein Irbid crushed visiting Al-Sarhan 4-0.
Goals came from Mahmoud Dheeb (23’, 59’), Salim Obeid (32’), and Luis Kakouri (68’), boosting Al-Hussein Irbid to 18 points, solidifying their third place and entering the continental qualification race.
Al-Sarhan, meanwhile, continues to struggle at the bottom with zero points.
Al-Wehdat vs. Al-Baqa’a Postponed The Jordan Football Association decided to postpone the Al-Wehdat vs. Al-Baqa’a match to allow Al-Wehdat to participate in the AFC Cup 2.
This means Al-Wehdat still has a pending match that could affect the standings.
