Authorities in North Carolina reported that the 44-year-old woman was taken into custody after being charged with “assaulting another person with a knife in a deliberate and dangerous manner” following an incident at an apartment complex in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte

According to the victim, her husband, the attack occurred after a disagreement about cleaning the house, prompting the woman to allegedly stab him intentionally

The woman offered a different account, stating that she was preparing breakfast when her husband asked if he could help. She said that in a moment of frustration over the state of the home, she “accidentally” cut her husband with the knife

The judge initially denied bail, but during a court hearing, bail was set at $10,000 and she was assigned a public defender

She was released under the conditions that she wear an electronic monitoring device and have no contact with her husband until the legal proceedings are completed
