What was meant to be a joyful memory turned into a horrific tragedy for a 15-year-old boy in the city of Bouri, Odisha.

The boy, Vishwajit Sahu, had intended only to capture a moment near the railway tracks after visiting the Dakshin Kali temple. However, his dream turned into a fatal accident when he failed to move away in time and was struck by a passing train, losing his life instantly.

Negligence and Violation of Rules

Police rushed to the scene, and his body was taken to the hospital for a medical examination. Preliminary investigations confirmed that the incident resulted from negligence and violating laws that prohibit approaching railway tracks.

The video Sahu attempted to film himself shows the moments the train approached him before his phone fell to the ground, turning the footage into a tragic symbol that quickly spread across social media, provoking widespread grief and outrage.

This was not the first incident of its kind in India. In July, a similar tragedy occurred when another young man, Rishi Pathibaka, drowned while filming a "Reel" near a waterfall in the Shannat forest in Raigad. These events highlight the high price adolescents pay in their pursuit of instant online fame.
