Al-Ramtha, the league leaders, face a tough test against Al-Salt as the Pro League resumes
Jordanian Pro League (CFI)

The Jordanian Pro League kicks off again tomorrow, Friday, with the ninth-round matches following an international break that allowed the national team to play two friendlies against Bolivia and Albania.

All eyes will be on Al-Hassan International Stadium in Irbid, which will host the most important match of the round, as league leaders Al-Ramtha visit fifth-placed Al-Salt at 7:30 PM.

Al-Ramtha (22 points) aims to leave Al-Salt with a valuable win to extend their lead at the top, but they face the ambitions of “Al-Raheb” (11 points), who have shown strong performances this season and are looking to inflict the first defeat on the leaders while moving closer to the top four.

In the round’s opening match, Al-Jazeera (sixth, 10 points) hosts Shabab Al-Ordon (eighth, 7 points) at 5:00 PM at King Abdullah II Stadium in Al-Qweismeh, with both sides aiming to climb the mid-table standings.

Saturday will feature another crucial match as second-placed Al-Faisaly (19 points) hosts ninth-placed Al-Ahli (4 points) at 5:00 PM at King Abdullah II Stadium. Al-Faisaly looks to secure three points to continue chasing Al-Ramtha and narrow the gap, while Al-Ahli hopes for an upset to move away from the relegation zone.

The final match of the round sees fourth-placed Al-Hussein Irbid (15 points) face bottom side Al-Sarhan (0 points) at 7:30 PM at Al-Hassan Stadium. “The Northern Invaders” aim for an easy win to remain in contention for the top positions, while Al-Sarhan seeks their first surprise of the season.

Match Postponement:

The Jordan Football Association announced the postponement of the match between Al-Wehdat and Al-Baqa’a, originally scheduled for this round, to a later date. The delay is due to Al-Wehdat’s continental commitments in the AFC Champions League 2. Al-Wehdat played an important match in Iran on Wednesday and will host Bahraini side Al-Muharraq next Wednesday in Amman.

Al-Wehdat currently sits third with 16 points (with a match in hand), followed by Al-Hussein Irbid in fourth with 15 points, while Al-Baqa’a is seventh with 10 points, trailing Al-Jazeera on goal difference.
