On Wednesday, the governorate of Irbid witnessed a tragic incident after a fire broke out in an apartment on the fourth floor of a building on Al-Hosn Street, casting a shadow of sorrow over the scene.

In response to the alarming situation, the Civil Defense teams of West Irbid immediately rushed to the site, working with determination and effort to extinguish the flames and bring the fire under control, despite the challenges posed by the upper floors.

Death of a Woman

The tragic fire claimed the life of a woman, while two other women suffered from shortness of breath. They received initial medical treatment before being transported to Princess Basma Teaching Hospital, where the body of the deceased woman was also taken.

Authorities extended their condolences to the victims’ families and confirmed that an urgent investigation will be launched to determine the cause of the fire, aiming to prevent similar incidents in the future.
