Angelina Jolie takes a historic humanitarian step to save Gaza’s orphans

Global star Angelina Jolie sparked a buzz on social media after announcing her plan to establish a relief village for orphans in the Gaza Strip, a humanitarian initiative reflecting her long-standing commitment to supporting those affected by conflicts worldwide.
Palestinian activist Samer Sanjlawi revealed during an online panel organized by the “Candid” Foundation in Germany Jolie’s intention to establish the village, noting that the initiative reflects her deep humanitarian sense and desire to support the reconstruction of the Strip.
Sanjlawi added in a post on X: “Peace requires reconciliation alongside reconstruction, and there are those who can propose ideas to help the people of Gaza, alongside government efforts. Civil society can play an important role, and we should not only wait for what states do.”
Wide Praise
The news quickly received widespread acclaim among the public, who saw Jolie’s move as a beacon of hope for children who lost their families during the recent war.
Followers emphasized that international civil society initiatives can help alleviate civilian suffering and create a tangible impact on the ground.
Jolie had previously expressed her humanitarian stance regarding Gaza during the recent war, stating on social media: “Civilians are without shelter, food, or water, and they do not even have the right to cross borders in search of refuge.”
