Gold prices continued to trend on Wednesday, yet the local market witnessed a sharp decline compared to previous days.

The selling price of 21-karat gold, the most in-demand among citizens, reached 83.5 dinars at jewelry shops, while the buying price stood at 80.1 dinars.

Price Fluctuations

According to the morning bulletin issued by the General Syndicate of Jewelry and Precious Metals Shops, the selling price per gram for 24, 18, and 14-karat gold at jewelry stores was 95.6, 74, and 56.2 dinars, respectively.

Market experts indicate that the local fluctuation in gold prices reflects the impact of global changes in the precious metal market, along with fluctuations in local currency rates against the US dollar.
