Tamer Hussein: "I haven’t waived it to either Mohamed Fouad or the producer" Tamer Hussein: "Why is the song leaking and the efforts of its creators being wasted?"

Egyptian lyricist Tamer Hussein defended his rights and those of the creators of the song “Halim”, which was set to be released in Mohamed Fouad’s upcoming album, expressing his frustration over the song leaking before its official release.

Hussein affirmed that he has not waived the song to any party, whether the artist or the production company, considering the leak a violation of the creators’ rights.

“Why is the song leaking?”

On his official Facebook page, Hussein wrote: “There’s a song called Halim, written by me, which was part of Mohamed Fouad’s album, but I haven’t waived it to either Mohamed Fouad or the producer.”

He added, questioning: “Why is the song leaking and the efforts of its creators being wasted?” He emphasized that the creators are not involved in any disputes between the artist and the production company.

Hussein concluded his post with a direct message to Mohamed Fouad, saying: “I hope the respected artist, whom I love and respect for his great history, removes me personally from any side discussions regarding his issues with the producer. You decide your steps and define your relationships with people. I am not a party, I swear to God, and I wish you all the best.”

Mohamed Fouad’s Album Controversy

Hussein’s statements come following the recent controversy surrounding Mohamed Fouad’s new album. The singer had contracted a production company to release a 12-song album featuring works by several songwriters and composers, including Rami Gamal, Tamer Hussein, and Aziz Al-Shafei. However, Fouad later decided to replace these songs with others, prompting the company to reject the move due to the financial losses it would incur.

As a result, the contract ended, and the album was handed over to singer Omar Kamal, who recorded all the songs and is preparing to release them soon, only for some of the tracks to be leaked with Mohamed Fouad’s vocals.
