Yousra Performs and Delights the Audience at El Gouna Film Festival – Video

The El Gouna Film Festival, in its eighth edition, honored the Egyptian actress Yousra, marking fifty years of artistic contribution that have left an indelible mark on Egyptian and Arab cinema. The celebration was filled with pride and nostalgia, attended by a host of prominent figures from the worlds of art and society.
During the event, Yousra performed a selection of her beloved songs for her audience, including "Hob Khalli El Nas Teheb" and "Gat El Harara Fi Qolob El Adharya," receiving enthusiastic responses from the attendees, which included Lubna, Elham Shaheen, Hussein Fahmy, Boussy Shalaby, Naguib and Samih Sawiris, Amr Monsi, Hassan El Raddad, Alft Omar, Mohamed Karim, and screenwriter Tamer Habib. All expressed their joy at being part of this special occasion.

Exceptional Exhibition The festival organized an exceptional exhibition titled "Yousra.. 50 Years of Cinema," featuring a rare collection of photos, posters, and memorabilia documenting her career from her debut in the 1970s to the present. The exhibition included highlights from her most notable films, such as "Al-Ra’ee wal Nisaa" (The Shepherd and the Women), "Imra’ah Ayla lil Suqut" (A Woman Destined to Fall), "Harb Al Farawla" (Strawberry War), and "Alf Leila wa Leila" (One Thousand and One Nights), along with texts showcasing her deep impact on Arab cultural memory.
Yousra began her artistic journey in 1973 after her talent was discovered by cinematographer Abdel Halim Nasr. Since then, she has appeared in over 80 films spanning drama, comedy, and romance, becoming one of the most prominent actresses in Egyptian and Arab cinema. Her long-standing career is notably marked by her collaboration with the legendary Adel Imam, forming one of the most successful duos in the history of Egyptian cinema through timeless films such as "Kraken in the Street," "El-Erhab wal Kabab," "Al-Ens wal Jin," "Tuyoor El-Zalam," and "Resala Ela El-Waly."
