U.S. authorities have disclosed the details of a shocking incident that took place in Cleveland, Ohio, where two children, aged nine and ten, have been charged after brutally assaulting a girl who is only five years old.

The crime occurred on September 13 last when the young girl went missing for hours from a relative's home, before she was found unconscious in a nearby field, suffering from serious injuries to her head and body.

Investigations and Charges

According to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office, investigations revealed that the two children lured the victim to an abandoned location, where she was severely beaten, sexually assaulted, and had parts of her scalp torn out in a scene described by police as "one of the most violent incidents involving a child in recent years."

The prosecution has charged the two children with counts including attempted murder, rape, kidnapping, and strangulation. The investigation is still ongoing to determine how they were able to commit the crime with such brutality and whether any adult party was involved in incitement or negligence.
