A Glimpse of Creativity… Yousra at the Heart of El Gouna Festival 2025

The management of the El Gouna International Film Festival has announced the organization of a special exhibition honoring actress Yousra as part of the upcoming edition of the festival, scheduled to take place from October 16 to 24.
The festival’s official Instagram account highlighted images of Yousra’s film posters, showcasing some of her most notable works that have left a significant mark on the history of Egyptian cinema. The festival management commented: “The exhibition, held from October 17 to 24, invites you to explore the legacy of a true icon, a generational figure in Egyptian and Arab cinema. Yousra’s career forms a cornerstone of the cultural memory of audiences over the years, and the exhibition offers a comprehensive look at her work, from her early roles to her achievements over five decades of influence that continue to inspire.” The exhibition is set to open on Friday, October 17, at Festival Plaza.

The announcement received widespread public attention, with many expressing their happiness at the tribute to Yousra’s artistic career through this special exhibition, while anticipation grows for the surprises the upcoming festival edition may hold.
Highlights of the 8th El Gouna Film Festival
The new edition will feature approximately 70 films from around the world, including feature films, documentaries, and short films. “Cine Gouna” will also see significant expansion this year, hosting more than 35 events, including workshops, panel discussions, and roundtables with Egyptian and international stars.
Cine Gouna for Emerging Talents
The “Cine Gouna for Emerging Talents” program is witnessing unprecedented growth this year, receiving over 1,000 applications. A new initiative titled “Clap Again” has been launched to support alumni of previous editions, with backing from the European Union, the Drosos Foundation, and the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development. Additionally, a three-year partnership with ESLSCA University has been announced, aimed at providing students with opportunities to learn, network, and engage with the cinematic landscape.
