In a shocking incident in Brazil, the bodies of social media influencer Lidian Allen Lourenço (33) and her daughter, Miana Sofia Santos (15), were found inside their apartment in the Barra da Tijuca neighborhood of southwest Rio de Janeiro after neighbors reported a strange odor emanating from the residence, according to local media.

Reports from UOL Notícias stated that police arrived at the scene on Friday, October 10, and discovered the bodies with no visible signs of violence. Forensic experts conducted an initial inspection of the apartment but found no evidence of foul play.

Missing for Days

Authorities added that the bodies have undergone autopsy, and the cause of death has not yet been determined pending laboratory results. Neighbors reported that the mother and daughter had not been seen for about five days prior to the discovery. The girl was found in the living room, while her mother was in the bedroom.

Lourenço was a model and social media influencer followed by more than 54,000 people on Instagram. She was also a medical student at a private university in Rio and had moved to the city over five years ago, with her daughter recently joining her.

Their funeral took place on Sunday, October 12, while police continue investigating the mysterious circumstances surrounding their deaths, which have shocked the media and the public alike.
