Jordanian actress Abeer Issa conveyed feelings of both joy and sorrow following the announcement of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, saying: "Thank God, we support them, and their joy is our joy."

In an exclusive statement to Ro'ya TV, with a voice filled with nostalgia for Gaza’s rich past, Issa added: "We paid a heavy price… mercy to our martyrs and healing to our injured after the relentless attacks by the occupation, stripped of humanity."

Joy After Two Years of Brutality

She hoped that Tel Aviv would honor the agreement and that the joy of Gaza’s residents would be complete after enduring two years of severe hardship marked by famine, pain, loss, and deprivation.

Expressing her personal grief, she said: "Forgive me personally, people of Gaza, for any shortcomings. No matter what we do, we fall short… You are our pride for your sacrifices, resilience, and patience."

Recalling the painful scenes in the besieged territory, she questioned: "How will Gaza’s children live after experiencing war conditions? How will those who lost their families, were deprived of their parents, or suffered permanent injuries continue their lives?"

“God’s Promise Is True”

Regarding the current stage, Issa stated: "God’s promise is true," emphasizing the importance of faith in Allah, as everything is in His hands. She explained that all the scenes related to Gaza deeply affected her heart and saddened her, and she often cried over the suffering of children struggling for a piece of food.

The Jordanian actress added: "My trust in the Palestinian people is immense, and I am keen to pray for them amid their hardships."

She affirmed that her central cause is Palestine, alongside her full solidarity with Lebanon and Syria, who cling to their rightful lands, as well as other peoples striving for their land and dignity.
