Artistic Surprise..Carole Samaha in an Upcoming Collaboration with the Late Ziad Rahbani

As if writing a new chapter in her artistic story, Lebanese star Carole Samaha appeared to reveal an exceptional musical surprise carrying the imprint of the late composer Ziad Rahbani. She announced an upcoming collaboration that will merge her warm voice with the genius of one of Lebanon’s most iconic music figures—without revealing further details. She simply shared a short but passionate statement:
“This time, the experience is different… my voice meets the mark of the late genius Ziad Rahbani in a work you’ll hear very soon.”
In the video she posted on Instagram, Rahbani’s voice can be heard saying, “You’re not to be left alone,” as Carole walks confidently toward the stage—a cinematic scene capturing both the anticipation of her audience and the moment of artistic rebirth that seems to be approaching.
A Return from the Echo of Memories
After eighteen years away from musical theatre since “Zenobia” with the late Mansour Rahbani, Carole Samaha returns to reclaim the stage’s glow with her new production “Kello Masmouh” (“Everything’s Allowed”). For her, it’s more than a performance—it’s a homecoming, a reconnection with the stage that helped shape her artistic identity.
Between Grief and Art
Her return comes at a tender time—just days after the death of her husband, Egyptian businessman Walid Mostafa. Yet, her determination to step back onto the stage gave her audience a quiet lesson in strength and faith in art as solace and survival.
“Kello Masmouh”… Laughter, Longing, and Love
Directed by Roy Khoury, the play is inspired by the Broadway classic Anything Goes, but reimagined with a distinctly Arab soul—infused with comedy, music, and love. Through it, Carole continues her journey of artistic reinvention, blending emotion with meaning to remind us that art never fades—it revives and endures.
